The Boa Foundation is a nonprofit organisation that works in alliance with indigenous communities to preserve and protect sacred land, culture and ancient wisdom.
We form alliances based on trust and reciprocity with indigenous communities that have a profound understanding of the sciences of nature, and work closely with them to preserve and regenerate nature, culture and community. We support a variety of their initiatives, including native reforestation, cultural empowerment and sustainable living solutions. We believe our social, ecological and spiritual crises present great opportunity for growth by collaborating with indigenous cultures to learn from their wisdom and experience, while offering the best of our technology and resources that complement their vision. By day, I am an actress. By night, I help build bridges between indigenous communities and the global north. I'm a trustee of the Boa Foundation, and have worked with diverse indigenous communities for the past 7 years. I've poured myself into this work because I love the people I get to collaborate with - they help me become happier, braver, and smarter, and they show me every day what it means to live in harmony, and how fast the forest grows when we take care of it.
What We Do
We have long-standing relationships built on trust and reciprocity with around 50 indigenous spiritual leaders form all over the world, particularly from the Brazilian Amazon. We finance reforesting programmes, help them build wells for clean water, and provide sustainable solutions for their villages. We also fund cultural empowerment initiatives, music and arts education and language rescue. Find out more about our projects here: https://www.theboafoundation.org/
